SANDES went to Ireland in
1649 with Oliver Cromwell,
and was granted a portion of the extensive estates forfeited by the
House of O'Conor. He m. Elizabeth, dau. of Fernley, and
by her (who d. 28 Dec. 1658, and was bur. at St. Michan's, Dublin
(Funeral entry)), had issue,
   1. LANCELOT, of whom presently.
   2. John, of Kilcavan, Queen's Co., from whom descend the
   family of Sandes, of Carrigafoyle.
   1. Anne, m. William Hamilton, of Liscloony, King's Co., who d.
   13 Oct. 1679, and left issue.
   2. Judith, m. Richard Warburton, and had issue.
   3. Elizabeth, m. Henry L'Estrange, of Moystown, King's Co., 
   and had issue.
   4. A dau., m. Stanford.
