March, 1840. Mr. Trench is the eldest son of the
late Henry Trench, of Glenmalyre, Queen's Co.,
J.P, and D.L : (who d 28 Feb. 1888), by Elizabeth
Anne Caroline his wife (who d. 1898), eldest dau. of
Charles Lancelot Sandes, of Indiaville, Queen's
Co., and grandson of the Very Rev. Thomas Trench,
of Glenmalyre, Dean of Kildare, younger brother of
ist Baron Ash town.
