Daughter of William Appleton.
Wiiliam Appleton was a veterinary surgeon first class in the 10th royal Hussars, the same regiment as his son-in-law Charles. He was posted to India on 2 January 1869 along with "Madame Appleton and three children". Presumably Florence was one of them.
